National Inclusive Schools Week Dec 2-6

November 26, 2019

Freedom Hill staff and students demonstrate empathy, compassion, and respect for one another in our inclusive school. Freedom Hill will participate in National Inclusive Schools Week, December 2nd-6th.

To chart our course for inclusion we have a weeklong celebration of inclusion planned. Students will engage in dialogue and discussion surrounding inclusion at Freedom Hill Elementary School. These conversations will take place during morning meetings and parents are encouraged to continue the conversation on at home.

Discussion prompts begin with recognizing similarities and differences and progress throughout the week. Students will be able to ask questions about inclusive practices and learn specific ways to include others. inside and outside of our school building.

Our Inclusive Schools Week celebration will culminate on Friday with our Community Spirit Day. We will wear red, one of our school colors, to show solidarity and our commitment to inclusive practices.
