Safety & Security

Security and Security

All persons entering the building during the school day must report to the office.

Visitors to the school will only be able to gain access to the school through the main doors at the front of the school. There is a bell for visitors to ring on the left side of the door. One of the office staff will be able to view the visitor through a camera phone. After being “buzzed” into the school, the visitor will be directed to the office to sign in and obtain a visitor’s badge. Visitors are not allowed to go to a classroom, cafeteria, or the gym without acquiring a badge from the office. If you need to deliver an article to your child, please deliver it to the office, office personnel will contact your child.

Volunteers

Freedom Hill welcomes parent volunteers. All volunteers are required to stop at the main office to sign in and receive a badge to wear when visiting the school. We do not permit younger children, friends of students, or students from other schools to visit classrooms except with the principal’s approval.

Freedom Hill enjoys the support of an extensive volunteer program. Typically, volunteers work with students, assist in the library, help with art projects, perform clerical jobs, prepare instructional materials, or work on PTA projects. You may sign up at Back to School Night or contact your child’s teacher, the school office, or a PTA officer to participate. All volunteers are required to view the volunteer training prior to volunteering in the classroom.
